Check out the Fiat 500 in Monterey...

Great news for Fiat 500 fans on the west coast: Fiat North America will display the European Fiat 500 at the Concorso Italiano auto show on August 13th at Laguna Seca Golf Ranch, Monterey California.

On top of the Fiat 500 being displayed, legendary automobile designer Tom Tjaarda will be a special guest and honorary judge. Tjaarda has penned many beautiful designs, including the De Tomaso Pantera, Ferrari 330 2+2 Pininfarina coupe, Ferrari 365 GT California Pininfarina Spider, and of course, the Fiat 124 Spider.

About Concorso Italiano

Take everything ever made in Italy, from fashion to Ferraris, sprinkle it with some red wine, slather it in sunshine, and top it with elegance and fun, and you have Concorso Italiano.

Concorso Italiano's unique format features more than 800 – 1000 vehicles of Italian origin, and its atmosphere is on the vehicles on display, conversations between people who love and appreciate them, and elements of Italian style such as fashion, food, music and art – all of this on the beautiful grounds of the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch. The Ranch was crafted by Robert Trent Jones Senior & Junior and nestled among the oak-studded hillsides of Monterey, providing breathtaking views of gorgeous Central Coast landscapes.

Be sure to check out their website here.
Here is the Concorso Italiano's press release:

We are pleased to have Fiat North America displaying the Fiat 500 at Concorso Italiano. And what better way to honor the presence of the modern Fiat Cinquecento than to have a gathering of classic Fiat 500s. A very special treat is in store for the Fiat 500 owners who register their car in the next three weeks.

Owners of Fiat 500 and 600 cars built between 1950 and the mid 1970's are encouraged to attend with their car regardless of condition. All we ask is that you wash and wax it. A very special area will be set aside to create a one of a kind display in order for the spectators to fully enjoy your cars. If you are the owner of such a car, please email or call the Concorso Office in order to receive a very special invitation.

The iconic Fiat 500 will be sold in late 2010 and if you would like an advance viewing of the Fiat 500, you will have the opportunity to see the European version of the vehicle this August at Concorso Italitano.

See you there! Ciao!
